Hazel Freeman is an award-winning freelance, non-fiction writer. An experienced feature writer, she’s written for publications such as: Wild Ohio, Women In the Outdoors, Rural Heritage, Farming, Woods-n-Water News, American Bee Journal, Bee Culture, Wildlife Watch Binocular, Water and Woods, Snowshoe Magazine and Heirloom Gardener Magazine. She’s been a regular contributor to the regional Ohio Electric Coop Magazine Country Living. Her writing has been featured in Mused the BellaOnline Literary Review. She’s a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) and the Outdoor Writers of Ohio (OWO). She’s won numerous writing craft awards with the OWO in categories such as; Best Magazine Article, Best How To Article, Best Environmental Article, and Best Internet Article. As an avid outdoorswoman, nature enthusiast and traveler she loves to write stories that intrigue, inspire, educate and inform.
